Pinot Plus has taken over from Wine and Roses, but has moved more to a ‘wine’ focus in line with the new owner John Ingle.
We will be highlighting a winery every two weeks by offering their cellar door range both by the glass and bottle at discounted prices in conjunction with our standard wine list.
The food has been designed as plated to share so that you can order a number of items for the table to enjoy, but if you wish to have a main size portion to yourself, this is also possible.
We open at 4.30pm and John is offering tastings from the cellar door out the front on our wine barrels.

Wine tasting at the table and great selection of wines available by the glass. They also offer good matching advice.
Well worth hunting this place out.

Was most impressed with the service and knowledge of John the owner. Found some really interesting wines that where not even on the list. This is possibly Auckland’s best wine bar and serves really good food.
My lady had the Cauliflower and Stilton soup and on a cool night it hit the spot really well. I had the Smoked duck liver pate it was really rich. Both went fantastically well with the Alsace gewurztraminer John recommended.
Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, I went with my partner for dinner and had a lovely 4 dishes (shared small meals) with an amazing caramel cake to finish the night. The music was appropriate (always too loud in some wine bars) and the service was delightful. John is certainly doing a great job, with a HUGE selection of wines, pinot plus is set to stay for a while.
