Loved the ambience of the building, tried to get some poached eggs 3 months ago as I had extreme digestion issues and could not eat out:/ they were not at all busy and declined to make them which was a bit unfriendly, seeing as I was happy to pay extra and my partner would of dined as well. :/ Seemed especially unfriendly as it was our first time in the area and I was desperate for something I could eat when everything was closed. However enjoyed watching my contractors love the pizza we ordered to take away last month -nicely made and they had a gluten free option for someone, which was gourmet and apparently tasted even nicer than the other options, which were also much enjoyed!

Love the atmosphere here. Bit out of the way from where we live but don’t mind the drive. Only problem is the lighting here sometimes and takes a while to be served

Love this place its great! Its one of the few places around that caters for all ages, its a great family place. Food is fantastic, great value for money. Only downside is you always have to wait to get a table because its so popular. Doesn’t put us off going back every time we are in the area. Keep up the good work Pizza Barn!

This place is just great – altho sometimes there is a bit of a wait – but only because it is soooooooooo popular.
Menu is varied – you don’t just have to have pizza. In fact there old fashioned shrimp cocktail is one of the best and the kumara chips with garlic aoili are delicimo
Kids are welcome – with a great kids menu, a small play area with toys inside and a climbing frame / slide in a fenced area outside. I know it may sound weird , but make sure you use the loos, as these are a blast from the past.

On a recent trip from Brisbane we dropped into the Pizza Bar while driving North. My wife and I were tired and hungry, so weren`t expecting anything out of the ordinary.
Surprise, surprise, this was the best decision we made. Food was absolutely amazing and the pizza`s exquisit. These blokes certainly have the Magic Formula and really put the word Hospitality where it belongs. I would love to get hold of their secret pizza base receipe, it`s magic and the toppings are to die for,
no wonder by 7.30pm the place was chockers. Keep it up Pizza Barn, whoever you are, we will certainly see you next trip to your country. 5 BIG STARS for everything, you more than deserve it.

We live in Ruakaka and this is one of the closest restaurants to us and definitely the best. Delicious food, wide menu, good wine list, very relaxed and inviting atmosphere, friendly staff. Love it.

We have a batch at Ruakaka and regularly go the Pizza Barn as do other members of our family. I would say it is probably the best restaurant in the area – the food is consistently good and so it is very popular and sometimes you can’t get a table straight away but we have always found the staff good and the food is well worth waiting for. Great atmosphere. We would recommend it to anyone.

I have been to the Pizza barn twice before, the food is amazing and the environment is relaxing. Overall I loved it and would recommend it.

We dine at the pizza barn from time to time, the service is good, the staff are friendly and helpfull, and the food is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, such a wide range and something to suit everyone. A must if you are going through or even past Waipu. I would recommend to everyone.
