I’m in the process of building a pizza oven at home and its because of places like this that serve delicious authentic wood fired pizza. I call in often for a lunch pizza and never disappointed. Service is good but the location is a bit out of the way. There are limited seats so well suited for takeaway.

Absolutely gorgeous woodfired pizza. Have eaten there a number of times over the years and have never been disappointed with any choices.

Hint though – it needs to be eaten piping hot so make sure you either get it delivered or don’t have to take it far!

Situated perhaps a little hidden in Eva street, Pomodoro makes perhaps the best pizza in the city, though can seem a little pricey. Anyway, i’ve sampled a good variety of the pizzas available from this Italian-owned pizza shop, and they’re always impressive. With quality ingredients like authentic buffalo mozarella, one slice of this stuff, and you’ll never want to eat from a chainstore pizza joint again. The staff here also seem more competent than the idiots at Hell’s who can’t seem to take an order without screwing it up. Certainly wirth a try if you don’t mind paying a little more for your pizza.

Mouth-watering deliciousness! Awesome base, lovely fresh quality toppings with motzarella and fresh basil leaves.

Moving to Auckland in few weeks and the thing I’ll miss the most will be your pizza guys!!! superb pizzas, friendly staff and best tiramisu. My favourite pizza: “sicilliana”. Roger

I’m from Italy, travelled NZ for 6 months and desperately looked for a good pizza in every city that I visited, when I found pizza pomodoro I almost cry for the joy!!!! Very good pizzas!!!Bravi!

Delicious pizza, and a good range. And yummy desserts. Reasonable delivery fee, and delivered in the time they said they would. Also has eftpos on delivery which is really helpful. Would recommend.
