Don’t be deceived by pub-like atmosphere! The food was actually pretty good, and service was amazing! We were all impressed, and really enjoyed our meals here!

I got to Taupo every year & never knew this place was open during the day until my last visit & I’m glad I know now! Fast, friendly & attentive service from knowledgeable staff. One particular wine we ordered they had run out of so was offered another with the bar manager recommended & it turned out to be better than the one we had originally ordered & is now a staple of our wine rack! Looking forward to coming back this year & trying more off your menu

Yum Yum. Once you have had this food you want more and more. My partner and I went with some friends we each ordered a different dish and each of us could not fault the tasty food and great service. We have being telling everyone about Plateau, as we all know its hard to find great food and great service. Worth every penny.

My partner and I got a deal to eat here on grab one for lunch. It was a fabulous deal and very cheap for what you get. It was warm and inviting with friendly attentive staff who even make sure your water glass is always filled. I had the fish pie and my partner had the fish and chips. My fish pie was the best I have had in a cafe. I highly recommend it.

I came in with my partner on a Friday night and although the restaurant was busy, the staff were very friendly and did everything they could to sit us as quickly as possible and have our food out as soon too. Food was quite delicious. Beef was done tender and medium rare, just the way my partner likes it. All in all, a fantastic experience. Will definitely come back again, most probably with friends.

We ate at Plateau recently and found everything fantastic. We loved the winter menu and the staff were so friendly. Our meals were perfect and we didn’t have to wait long even though it was pretty busy. Dessert was mouth watering. Thanks Plateau we had a great night
