I tried Plimmerton Taj because of the positive reviews on MenuMania. I ordered beef rogan josh. The meat was tough and sinewy. The sauce was too sweet and lacked flavour. I asked for medium spicy and there was absolutely no heat in it at all. So what’s the point of having a scale of hotness?
I will not be going back and I don’t recommend the place.

Authentic indian food. My partner and i have been here a couple of times. Growing up in Singapore, we love our spice. So we always ask for “indian spicy” for all the dishes we order.
The ambience is nice, service is great and of course their food always satisfy our craving for something spicy.

I have been here a number of times. Originally I was sticking to the safe old butter chicken. However, last time me and my partner dined here I ventured out and got a lamb korma. This was delicious! I was nicely surprised and we had a beautiful birthday dinner. The service is great and friendly atmosphere. I try to dine here when it’s not too busy as I like the sereneness of a quiet restuarant.

We was a party of 7 on the weekend. Had a great meal, really warm inside. We started with the entree for 7 Special tandoori Platter. Everyone picked their own mains and we had two bread baskets. and end up with India Icecream (homemade) which was very yumm… Overall great food, atmosphere and very friendly service) we will be back with the group again.

Had a meal on the weekend by walking pass. They was fully booked but managed a table for 1 hr 15 minutes. Very enjoyable meal, great service and atmosphere. They also gave 10% disount on the next visit to their other branch Courtenay Taj in wellington Central. We will be back for sure.
