LOVE poppies! have been once for brekkie and twice for dinner- food never disappoints will definitely be stopping in again

Four of us went to Poppies Last night for dinner .We come from Queenstown where we are spoilt for choice of lovely places to dine ,but would have to say that from the first moment of walking in and being greeted by lovely staff and seated quickly we were very impressed indeed.
We all had different dishes and all were delicious the only shame of it was we had no room for dessert ,next time hopefully.

Hi, just popped into poppies cafe on way to wanaka, for a dinner stop. we were greeted with warm friendly smiles, my wife and i were quickly seated and made to feel very comfortable. I had the pork roulade as a entree and Jill had scallop salad with vanilla oil. Both were amazing the homemade poppy and pumpkin seed loaf was a very nice touch. As a main Jill had fish of the day, Hapuku pan roasted, served on smoked fish, broad bean and lemon risotto and finished with a caper beurre blanc. This for 27.5!! Amazing!!!She was blown away, the flavours worked magic together. I had a rack of lamb with roasted baby beets, a cauliflower puree and rosemary jus. My Lamb was beautifully cooked and again the combination worked really well. We shared a Creme Brulee, with baked strawberries and was the perfect finish to one of our best dining experience. I have been to this Cafe twice now, and both times have been just fantastic.
The food is always outstanding, plus allot of it is organic and they make all their own bread etc, the service was great both times, and there is plenty of room for my Kidd’s to run around outside.
quite simply the best in the MacKenzie region!
