I have only been twice here but would dine again anytime. The food variety is great from salmon to lamb shanks. Price is very reasonable and the service is always friendly. Awesome little place away from town, and you can pop into the bar next door after your meal.

Six of us have been here as a group in May 2012, & again in October 2012.
Worth a trip out of town for. Really great food, at reasonable prices, and good service.
Plenty of variety, across all tastes. Reasonable portions. Nice relaxed atmosphere in small restaurant. Bar next door, or eat in the bar.
Look forward to eating here again.

Went with family for dinner. Decor not outstanding but given this is a country pub, is perfectly O.K. Apart from having to wait for the adults meals to be served(all meals were to be served at same time) the food was excellent. Very good standard of food & at great prices – will definitely go again.

Never been disappointed. Quaint little rustic pub off the beaten track but worth the drive. Lovely setting and great food. Trying to work my way through the menu, its that good.

Recently dined at this Restaurant and found Menu appealing and meals as good if not better than some competitors. Well priced and well presented. Certainly worth a visit. Booking essential.
We had lunch in the middle of the week so it was quite the food was very nice but my plate had a very big chip out of it which I noticed as soon as it was put in front of me and the window were we sat was very dirty again great food but attention to detail is lacking

Wow! We dined there for mothers birthday and absolutely spectacualar! The meals were absolutely amazing and so cheap! The pudding was fab!
We go to the restaurant at least once a week and have done for the past seven months or so. The meals are supurb! Our favourites are the roast beef; and the lamb shanks. Portion sizes are very generous, and the prices excellant and so reasonable. Desserts are great – the chocolate brownie being our favourite. We love the atmosphere – the staff are so warm, friendly, and welcoming. We feel totally at home there and so very very relaxed. The Pheasant’s Nest is by far the best restaurant we have both ever tried and we look forward to returning there for many more enjoyable meals.
we have dined here on several occasions either by ourselves or in a group. We have always found the food outstanding and the service exceptional. It is a great little restaurant in pleasant surroundings. we would highly recommend it to anyone who wanted a great value meal.
Our group of 15 have just had a wonderful lunch. A warm and pleasant atmosphere. The food was varied and delicious. We will be back
Our Rascals dining group of about 20 has eaten here twice. The service was efficient and friendly, the portions generous and the food delicious. The situation itself lends to the occasion. We will certainly rfeturn next year.

My family dined here for my grandfathers 80th,the waitress was nice but was situated right in front of the cashier and a view of the kitchen, i must of seen 3 microwaves which is always a bad look, for my entre i had a shrimp cocktail,it was basically shrimp and salad with a nasty tasteless sauce from the supermarket.my grandma ordered the same for a main but found a LONG HAIR inside of it while eating,i couldnt see any hair nets.we complained and they didnt ask what we wanted they just bought another one out, food also got mudled up, waitress didnt write a plan.the dessert i odered sounded the best but looked plan.a dried chocolate cake, abit dry with no sauce!
