The Christchurch Curry Club actually voted this 4.5 Stars… so close to perfect it wasn’t funny.

The staff handled a group booking with excellence, friendly and attentive. The food was quite simply superb just what you wanted and a fantastic variety.

And plenty of Kingfisher to wash it all down!!

Well done Punjabi Dhaba, we will be back again.

This place has happy hour 5-6pm daily where all mains are $14.99 dine in or takeaway. I can’t speak for dine in serving sizes, but the takeaway portions were an excellent size and I couldn’t eat all of mine. The taste was wonderful -rich, great spice mix and creamy and I will certainly be back. Rice was supplied.

We were a group of 5 and 2 toddlers on a quiet Sunday evening on the look out for a good ‘Indian’ meal. This brought us to this restaurant which was utterly disappointed as we spent a whopping $184 with no drinks included. The mains were overly priced between $20-$23 and did not come with rice. You have to pay an extra $4 for a portion of rice. Because the portion size was ridiculously small we ended up getting more mains which brought us to that total bill. I would not return to this restaurant again as there are other places which does good Indian food without the massive price tag.

This is a newbie on the block, a chain restaurant with branches in Auckland and Hamilton. Two of us went there for dinner last week.
The food was excellent, the spice just right and it looked and tasted fresh, better than some other chain Indian outlets around. The food was priced at the top end however, and I believe too expensive for Indian cuisine.
Presentation was superb (both the food and the premises), and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would certainly highly recommend for a night out – just too expensive for a regular takeout curry.
