Have been here many times when I’m visiting my folks in Levin. Their Malai Kofta is divine, as is the Cauli lolly for starters. My partner reports the Butter Chicken is yummy too. We sometimes find the service a bit slow on busy nights and food can take up to an hour. However, it is worth the wait
We stopped at Rangoli for an early last night, taking a break during a long drive home. We were informed on arrival that they were short on staff, being a Sunday, but we actually found the service to be the best part of our meal. The manager was both polite and efficient, returning frequently to inconspicuously top up our drinks and check on our meals. We found the food to be generally disappointing, though. We ordered butter chicken and beef dahiwala, both medium-hot, with basmati rice and plain naan. Both sauces were sickly sweet and medium at best. The chicken was tenderly cooked but the beef was tough. The decor is spacious and fairly pleasant.

Excellent curry and great service. Great to have a decent restaurant in Levin. Very reasonable too.

allways grate food … we eat there every 2 weeks or so
Rates with the best Indian I’ve eaten anywhere in the world.
Why this chef plies his trade in Levin beats me.
Should be cooking in London or Glasgow, the recognised centres of excellence for Indian cuisine.
The dishes I tasted over six visits recently were an outstanding selection of this regional Indian cuisine. Strong but subtle flavours (the strong being optional) . Nann breads are superb.
The on floor service is so good I just have to assume it’s a family venture
Glasgow awaits you! ( take the family, the service in Glasgow can be patchy!)
