I took 2 out of town guests to Raviz to try the $10 lunches. My first visit here so I was not sure what to expect but the standard was very high. The restaurant was not very busy but we had our 3 meals delivered piping hot in ornate little metal containers within 10-15 minutes. We also had free crispy breads, a big shared bowl of rice, a plate full of hot naan bread and our 3 meals. My lamb rogan josh was delicious, spicy and the large chunks of lamb very tender. My companions meals were equally delicious with not a drop left in any bowl to share. But we couldn’t manage all the naan. We will come here again. Brilliant meals, unbeatable value. Well done Raviz.

Bought a deal off Grabone for $35 for a mixed platter for 2, 2 mains, 2 naans and 2 wines/beers.
Staff were quite rude, seemed unimpressed that we had a voucher. The 2 wines we ordered took a long time to come out.
The mixed platter was good, except for the tamarind and mint sauce. They were extremely watery. Basically the consistency of water with a drop of sauce.
The mains were ok, I had mango chicken, not much flavour really, the good point was the chicken was really tender.

Definitely won’t be going back there again.

Terrible food at the Takapuna site. OMG the roti were half cooked. Ordered three different curries- 2 veg and 1 non veg and believe it or not all curries tasted the same. There was no way to differentiate it. Never go this place again.

I purchased a Groupy deal for Butter Chicken which was excellent value and had never been there before. The service (I ordered takeaway) was fast and extremely friendly and welcoming. The meal was tasty and a generous sized serving (sufficient for myself and my young daughter & we were both hungry). The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is the windows needed cleaning (but everything else; tables etc looked clean). I will definitely go back.

We often go to Raviz in Whangaparaoa, and thought we would give the Takapuna branch a try last night…

The service was slack at best, we had to ask repeatedly for the wine to be kept cool, whilst our entree platter arrived in good time, it was nothing to write home about, everything was a little rushed really. The sauces were watery and had next to no flavour.

We ordered our curries and they also arrived very quickly, however the curries were almost stone cold, so much so I thought it was best not to eat the meal at all, the rice also was cold… really disapointed with that, and hardly got an apology. We thought it was best to just leave, and we asked to take curries away that were part of the “grab one” deal, and were asked to pay for corkage, which I thought pretty rude considering we didn’t even get to sit down to our dinner… so I said I wasn’t happy with that at all, and we left without paying the $4 corkage.

I can’t wait to go back to Whangaparaoa branch, but I will never go to Takapuna again, it was utter crap. Sorry Takapuna, but no way.

My hubby and I got a brochure in the mail telling us about Ra viz and thought we’d give it a try. I had Mango Chicken and have it mild to med without coriander. I was so pleased that they could cater to my fussy habits. My Hubby always has Chicken Tia Marsala medium with extra coriander and he loves his dish too. We frequent Ra viz over any other North Shore Indian Restaurants. We would recommend just because it tastes so yummy and the telephone service is welcoming and friendly too. We haven’t eaten in the Restaurant so can’t comment on ambiance or waiting service.

My partner and i use to dine at Raviz in Takapuna quite alot ordering the same meals everytime but slowly the meals wasnt as good as the last,the last time i dined there and will ever dine there I was VERY disappointed with my meal i ordered the same meal as always which contains no nuts but i always tell the waiter NO NUTS,as im allergic to nuts when my dish arrived it was garnished with almonds i told the manager i let the waiter know NO NUTS in my meal,and all i got was sorry there is different chefs that garnish the meals,i told the manager i cldnt eat the meal im allergic to nuts but he wasnt going to refund or make another order for me,so i end up with no dinner,never ever again.

We order takeout from Raviz frequently. It’s so good and such great value, plus the fact they deliver, that we have ditched our old favourite and Raviz is now our Indian takeaway of choice!

The servings are generous, there is plenty of meat in the curry, and they are tasty. Plus they are always piping hot when they arrive. Great value.

Went here for the $10 night. When the food arrived it was good … however the service was terrible it got to the stage that we got the giggles because our poor waitress was new, couldn’t speak english and they just left us alone. It was so bad a man from another table went and asked for someone to please serve these ladies ….. We had to ask for everything over and over including cutlery. Not sure if we would try again.

Totally agree, food here is mouth wateringly good, the $10 mains on Mon – Wed are fantastic value and we have been back a few times, just can’t get enough of the stuff. If dining in, can take a while between ordering and getting the food but hey, it’s worth it!

One of my favourite Indian restaurants. I think I get takeaways from here every fortnight. Delicious curries. Really nice Lunch packs/specials with generous serving sizes. If you like butter chicken, I would recommend trying ‘tikka ravis’.

All mains $10 and this also run for Mon,Tuesday and Wednesday,…….
The best food with very pleasant service.
Ambiance is great with very good Indian music.
All my guest enjoyed the food and when we came to pay it was under $100 bill which include Entrees and drinks for everyone.

The Best Value Restaurant in the shore.
Hats off to the owner Mr Raviz whom i know him personally last ten years.
He is the Best operater for the ethnic cuisine and that’s the reason he opened 10 Restaurant in few years time.
I will rate this restaurant as 5 out of 5.
