Staff were quite rude, seemed unimpressed that we had a voucher. The 2 wines we ordered took a long time to come out.
The mixed platter was good, except for the tamarind and mint sauce. They were extremely watery. Basically the consistency of water with a drop of sauce.
The mains were ok, I had mango chicken, not much flavour really, the good point was the chicken was really tender.
Definitely won’t be going back there again.
We will never go again to Takapuna
The service was slack at best, we had to ask repeatedly for the wine to be kept cool, whilst our entree platter arrived in good time, it was nothing to write home about, everything was a little rushed really. The sauces were watery and had next to no flavour.
We ordered our curries and they also arrived very quickly, however the curries were almost stone cold, so much so I thought it was best not to eat the meal at all, the rice also was cold… really disapointed with that, and hardly got an apology. We thought it was best to just leave, and we asked to take curries away that were part of the voucher deal, and were asked to pay for corkage, which I thought pretty rude considering we didn’t even get to sit down to our dinner… so I said I wasn’t happy with that at all, and we left without paying the $4 corkage.
I can’t wait to go back to Whangaparaoa branch, but I will never go to Takapuna again, it was utter crap. Sorry Takapuna, but no way.
The servings are generous, there is plenty of meat in the curry, and they are tasty. Plus they are always piping hot when they arrive. Great value.
All mains $10 and this also run for Mon,Tuesday and Wednesday,…….
The best food with very pleasant service.
Ambiance is great with very good Indian music.
All my guest enjoyed the food and when we came to pay it was under $100 bill which include Entrees and drinks for everyone.
The Best Value Restaurant in the shore.
Hats off to the owner Mr Raviz whom i know him personally last ten years.
He is the Best operater for the ethnic cuisine and that’s the reason he opened 10 Restaurant in few years time.
I will rate this restaurant as 5 out of 5.
