Red Cherry Cafe offers a range of food, including vegetarian and gluten free options, blackboard meals and deli cabinet choices to suit all tastes and budgets
This rustic red shed which used to house an apple packing operation, gives no indication of the delightful cafe inside. Contemporary interior with leather couches, local artists work and a coffee roasting corner. Seating 50, it also has a kids play area, courtyard and pot bell stove.
The menu is comprised of fresh, made on the premises items, including deli style cabinet food as well as a blackboard menu.
I took my Mum here on a trip back from Auckland….awesome coffee stop with a snack. Excellent service, spacious, efficient, noticed a good area to keep kids busy if adults wanted a wee drink and
an uninterrupted catch up. Great place to catch up with friends. Would definitel return.

Had dinner at this cafe on Saturday night. I had the Duck confit with kumara bok choy and orange scented jus. Fabulous meal for $28. The men had snapper( also great.) This place roasts its own coffee and a day time visit never disappoints but now they are open Friday and Saturday for dinner. We highly recommend it to local Waikato diners.

I was highly recommended this cafe, went with my parents and friends for breakfast. Coffee was good but a bit cold. 1 had oat cakes which were well cooked good portions and would recommended. one had the omelette which was average. one had the big breakfast thing, three eggs and bacon and one had the 3 eggs and bacon. The eggs on the three were meant to be poached all three came hard boiled poached eggs!!! so sent back they came back with semi hard poached eggs, the bacon was cheap horrible bacon and sausages! the hollandaise had separated from being under heat lights! we ended up leaving disgusted! we did receive 20 dollars for a 90 dollar meal back but i would never go again and would never recommend! on a good note the waiter was good!

The Red Cherry Cafe is on SH1 between Hamilton & Cambridge. My husband & I go there for brunch at least once a month. In the winter as soon as you walk in it’s lovely and warm. Their Banoffee Pie is absolutely delicious, my husband always has one of their big breakfasts. For a friendly cosy atmosphere with yummy food it can’t be beaten.

I have had many meals and coffees at this fantastic cafe including a birthday lunch for my mother, mothers day lunch last year, catch ups with coffee group girls with kids in tow, and lunches with my sisters with babies and kids in tow also. The food is lovely and fresh and very reasonable in price, it is always warm and cosy with an indoor wood burner, sofas and modern trendy decor. The coffee is great and the staff are very, very friendly and efficient and there is a little kids area with toys. Keep up the good work Red Cherry – I am going to book a girls only lunch there shortly for my birthday!
