I have eaten at Republic Bar twice now.

The first time for lunch, and I had a chicken salad which was really nice. Everything tasted fresh and lots of flavour. A little on the expensive side, but work was paying, so it was all good.

The second time my family and I went for brunch on Sunday.
My partner and I shared an omelet, and french toast.
Both meals were great, really filling, and really tasty.

I would definitely go back.

We usually all have a lovley meal here and they have been fairly consistant with quality of product and the preparation. Last night then was very disapointing the pork belly was awful, the crackling was soft and rubbery and the meat was hidden by such a lot of fat it had obviously been cooked very quickly so the fat had not rendered down to the normal succulent juicyness it normally is. The eye fillet was also quite tough, which was surprising. The hapuka on the other hand was lovely. But we wont be rushing back here.

I am a new diner to the Manukau area but due to visiting a friend in Karaka my wife and I thought we would call into Republic on the way home. Being a Tuesday the quiz was all go and people seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I had the Lamb salad which I enjoyed and my wife had the chicken burger (which I had half of) and it was fantastic.
Great casual food done well. We will be back when next in the area

Republic is a nice way to finish a night after a movie, using the movie and meal deal combo.
The pizzas are delicious, however staff could do with better knowledge of their menu, when it comes to steak etc.
The portions were well sized and the food rather tasty.
Great place for groups, but if dinning in, choose a night where there isn’t a big rugby game on.
Will be visiting more during the World Cup.

I have been let down by Republic – we used to enjoy breakfasts there on a Sunday but the food was never consistent, some weekends you would have normal toast, other weekends just small pieces of bread not even big enough to put your egg on.

Pizzas and Garlic bread used to be fantastic, rather expensive but worth the price paid, had dinner there one night before a movie and I was completely let down by the service and the pizza I ordered hardly had any toppings on it for the $24.00 you pay, you expect to have loads of yummy toppings but this has barely any.

from my 2 bad experiences I have not been back to dine in since. Very disappointing
