I have come to Akld for a few months this year and had to find somewhere i could find consistently good coffee. I am fussy, i admit.
After several disheartening visits to different cafe’s in the central suburbs i finally found Ristretto. I sniffed my mocha and then gave it a tentative taste. HUGE grin. I wanted to hug that man !!! I will continue to satisfy my coffee addiction here from now on- whether i have time to sit down or on the run, i will go out of my way to swing past, and delight in the certainty that my coffee is never burnt, too watery or over frothed, nor too hot or cold.
But the best part ? – and here is something i did not expect in this busy sprawling city – the staff are oh so friendly, & even address you by your name. (something my fave but slightly cliquey cafe’s at home in Queenstown could learn from)

My husband and I go to the Ristretto Cafe at least twice a week and enjoy the cafes great ambiance, yummy food and awesome staff. Always friendly and welcoming. It is lovely to go there on a Friday evening after a busy week at work and let them cook you a meal and enjoy a great coffee and dessert. Very relaxing. Definitely our favourite cafe in Auckland.

I love this cafe, the food in the cabinet is always fresh and delicious. From the menu try the unusual and delicious big fluffy pancakes. Caters well for kids with a small play area outside.
