I was told to visit this cafe by friends as they said the food was as good as it gets, reasonably priced and the coffee was great. I was not disappointed. I had the full breakfast and it was huge! Well worth $16.50. The coffee was so good I had two, which I have never done before!!
Only two staff on at the time (early morning), one in the kitchen and one serving and making coffee, she was very friendly and helpful and I commend them both for the great service. Most definitely my favourite cafe in Wanganui.

Prices: Very reasonable. $18.50 for an open steak sandwich & coffee
Why I came here: Lunch with a friend
Atmosphere: Clean and stylish. The single table on the footpath and scattered table in what amounts to a hall looked a bit sad but the café proper is very inviting and well designed.
If I was put off by anything it was the crowded tables, after the place started to fill it got very noisy as we were surrounded by other diners sitting very close to us.
Service: A little indifferent to start with, there was no friendly greeting as we walked up to the counter and asking about the food was a bit like pulling teeth. We were early so waiting for food didn’t take long and was well presented.
Food: Simple but very tasty. Coffee was excellent.
Overall: A bit of work still happening in other parts of the building, Roam was definitely a great experience and is certainly worth a second visit.
