This is a restaurant has made its presence over the last 11 years as one of the best chinese restaurants in Milford.
However, my last visit to this place was unfortunately marred by a very rude waitress (who is also the owner) who clearly began to hate her job. As well as ignoring us through the meal, she also kicked up a fuss about the underdone duck that was brought out of the kitchen. She told us that cooking the duck further would be “no good” and we would have to pay for it anyway. After almost 10 minutes of her saying that the fact that we did not like the dish was “cultural” and that she would also accept a dish she is not happy with in a European restaurant; something akin to “shut up and eat”.
The roast duck, admittedly, was quite enjoyable after it was properly cooked (with much of a reluctance on the waitresses part).
The seafood and vegetable chilly stir fry contained sparse sea creatures, 90% celery and was very bland.
When it came to paying the bill, they very rudely and clearly made remarks to each other in Cantonese. I did not think that it was appropriate to speak a foreign language in front of unsatisfied customers.
Obviously over the years, this place has been good enough to last this long. However, given the reluctance of wait staff to serve you in a timely fashion, their argumentativeness and a sizable deterioration of food quality, I don’t think that they will stand the test of time much longer.
