Beautifully housed in a restored Listed Heritage Building, Sahara Restaurant, Bar & Lounge sits up proudly in the centre of the historic village of Paparoa.
Directly opposite is another heritage listed building (an old kauri villa) and the historic Paparoa Store.
We have a 40-Seat Dining Room, a seperate bar, an informal lounge and a covered outside area making Sahara ideal for a quiet coffee, light lunch, special dinner or a huge function!
We often have extended hours through the warmer months, so please phone to check. We are also frequently open in between lunch and dinner for snacks, tea/coffee & bar service.

This was the best restaurant of our entire trip to NZ and we hope to return there on our next one. Definitely book ahead if you can as they can be very busy. Enjoy if you get the chance!
