I dont normally write reviews but am so staggered at the bad review for takeaways given below I’m making an exception. I travel the country and took my wife and two friends to Saigon Van where we ordered the banquet. What an incredible, beautiful and inexpensive feast. Absolutely delicious and such great value I left a $20 tip (something else I rarely do). If you want a fantastic and different night out this is the place to go Mark de Lacy aka The Minstrel

Have just bought take-aways for 2 adults and 2 children. The cost was $70 and there wasn’t enough by far. Servings were pathetic and fluffed up by rice and shredded cabbage. We threw a lot of it out as it didn’t even taste nice. By far the most expensive disappointing take-away ever! Dont go there!!

I like the lunch menu as it’s cheaper with good amount of food. my favourite dishes are the hot beef soup and the seafood salad
as for me the dinner menu, the amount of food has not so much different from the lunch menu but the price is quite a lot more expensive. another thing is that i love spicy food and the chili sauce over here is not spicy at all. Probably that’s why i almost finish the whole bowl of chili sauce. So what I’m saying about the chili sauce, if they don’t want to run out of chili sauce, they should make it a little spicier (since not everybody likes spicy as much as i do)
:D:D:D oh, and they might want to add kids menu. when i go there with my daughter, it gets quite confusing what to order for her.
Loved the food, all entrée’s are divine my mother had one of their salads, and my aunt had another both were great. I had a mixed plate of rolls which were delicious but by far their spring rolls are the best. Unlike any i have tasted before. I highly recommend having an entrée and main unless you are not that hungry and if that is the case have one of their entrée’s i found them slightly better then the mains. For myself, and two others the cost for the evening came to $130 which included 4 entrées, 4 mains, 3 soft drinks and cock-age on 2 bottles of wine. Overall service was great. The only downside to the night was that we had unfortunately eaten their early in the week and when they have a function or is a busy evening they dress up in traditional Vietnamese clothing.

Great food, very fresh with a unique taste at a moderate price. The service was impeccable, the staff friendly and polite. I recommend the freshly iced lemon juice I tried as it was incredible; so tangy and refreshing. I must say that the interior decor was classy and a nice reflection of Vietnamese culture. A must try for oriental lovers.
