Food was very average – the bacon and mushroom corn fritters were tasteless. The mushrooms appeared as a grey “gloop”.
The apple and date slice was rather dry, and again tasteless.
Service was OK. Coffee acceptable.
Tables looked a bit worn and were squashed together.
We had expected something with a bit more “panache” given the name of the cafe, and the prices we were charged.
I don’t think we will visit this cafe again unfortunately.

Discovered one of Hamilton’s best kept secrets this week. Their seafood chowder with french pastry on top was to die for. Sat in the sun in the courtyard area and was so pleasant. thank you so much for your excellent food and service.
