Great lunch sets, quick simple sets with rice and salad for $14 or full set with miso, pickles and appetizers for around $20. We went for the full set as I love miso and all the interesting things that come in a teishoku. Great value and quick, staff authentically polite and reserved.

Unpretentious menu, authentic Japanese izakaya food with friendly service.
The found the decor to be very 80′s Benihana kitsch, but the staff won me over with their warmth.
I enjoyed our plate of sashimi, and had blue warehou sashimi for the first time (it was DELICIOUS). The owner said their fish was caught daily and extremely fresh. Based on the sashimi plate, I’d totally agree.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the entire city! The setting, food, and staff are all wonderful and you feel like you’re in Japan, not just a Japanese restaurant.
