Cheap, good food, good service. If you don’t expect too much you won’t be disappointed. Not sure what it lacks, but maybe decor – I did feel a bit like I had time-warped to NZ in the 1970s, but because it is cheap’ish I’m not complaining.

We went to the Salty Dog for dinner.
What you see is what you get. Before dinner we had a drink in the bar where you can sit outside in the sun if you wish. The beer was cold and the service was friendly.
The restaurant prices offer good value with the most expensive being steak at $30 through to pasta at $18. We had a selection of meals and nobody was unhappy with there dish. The meat, fish and chicken dishes were better than the pasta however.
A good selection of local wines.
