I didn’t like it the first time i went (i ordered the rice dish with chicken & shrimp).
BUT we went there today after watching Harry Potter and i got the rice, chicken & cashew dish and it was GOOOOOOOOOD. Even the carrots were yum!

I was a bit miffed to be paying nearly $4 for a glass of coke and then see them pour it from a big cheap plastic bottle that you and I buy from the supermarket though.

I have been to Sanooks on many occasions, with family and friends and have always enjoyed the experience.

I have to however agree with some of the other reviews. Some of the dishes are very plain and don’t have the beautiful flavorings i have tasted from other Thai restaurants, so be careful what you order.

Sanooks have the BEST yellow chicken Laksa i have ever had. My husband and I often go to Sanooks just to order the yummy creamy laksa. I still haven’t found a Thai restaurant that makes one better.

I agree with Ray. I ordered the same meal – 1806 and it was terrible. The staff are freindly, but service needs attention. Our main meals randomly came out one at a time and while we were still on entrees! Our drinks were served in their bottles! The rice was cold and the chicken tasted like yesterdays.

I will not be going back there again.

SaNook is my favourite restaurant. I go there every week to enjoy a delicious meal. Every time I go there I know I am going to get great service, and most of all, great-tasting food. Not yet have I been disappointed.

The first time I went there I felt instantly welcome by their friendly staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite comfortable, with comfortable seating and interesting interior decor.

SaNook’s menu never ceases to make me smile. Some dishes have comments about them, some are traditional and some are comical. Each dish has a spice rating, represented by a chilli. I have been meaning the try the hottest of the hot, three chillis!

I’ve tried a bit of everything at SaNook. My favourite is the Yellow Chicken Laksa. I love it. The sauce is thick and creamy and the chicken is nice and tender. Its distinctive flavour never changes. My partner often orders the Southern Style beef on rice, which tastes incredible. I’ve tried their appetizers, salads, noodles and rice. I like the idea of ordering something non-spicy, yet they still give you the option with hot spices on the side, which I normally consume the lot. I’ve also tried their drinks and desserts, which definitely completes any meal.

I also get takeaways from there. It takes less than 10 minutes for them to make you a meal, and that’s for the more difficult dishes.

One piece of advice for anyone going there for the first time, is when you order something, order something that appeals to your eye and taste buds at the same time. SaNook has a wide range of choices, however, some dishes are similar to other Thai and asian restaurants. Order the most exotic looking dish, or one with a bit of spice. You won’t be disappointed.

The only bad thing about SaNook is that there isn’t one near my home!! They should set up a restaurant in Sylvia Park.

Whether you love spicy food or not, with a touch of sophistication, yet still easy going on your wallet, SaNook is definitely the place. I’ve recommended this restaurant to all my friends, and we plan to go there altogether after the movies in the future. My review doesn’t do justice, you have to see for yourself. Cheers SaNook!

We unfortunately had to order a meal at sanook last night. We were really hungry. It was very quiet which was nice. I ordered the Fried chicken and rice meal. What we got was shocking. We got deep fried chicken pieces and rice like the ones at KFC, but KFC tastes a million times better. the menu code was 1806 or something.

I mean, how does one eat fried crispy chicken with plain rice? How do they justify charging 15.90 for that?

And it tasted aweful. We didnt even eat half of the meal.

Nothing against the staff. The menu was terrible. i swear im not going back there. I have told all of my close friends what our experience was.
Not very good customer experience at all. Their choice of meals on the menu needs alot of attention. Its supposed to be a THAI restaurant. We have been to many THAI restaurants and this really is the worst out of all of the places weve been to. Thai is meant to be exotic tasting chicken mixed with exotic herbs and spices, NOT deep fried chicken wings and rice.

My wife and i gave it a 2/10.
