I’ve yet to find another Indian restaurant that has the range of amazing vegetarian food Satya does. Everything from the light and flavourful Dosa through to the more standard curry-house fare never ceases to please. And they’re the only place I’ve ever found where you can order hot and you can expect them to understand!

As a family we very often go out to dinner, at least once a week. This is honestly the best Indian food I have ever tasted, my dad adored it and said it was amazing, and he has been to Indian multiple times. Would highly recommend it. You have to get the Dahi Puri and the Pani Puri for entrees. Both are delicious! And the lamb korma was better than any other korma I have ever had!

very very disappointing – went with a group and both myself and my wife received two inedible mains – sent both back and received back equally bad.
(Other meals seemed to be fine)
Very reluctant to discount but eventually they relented.

Absolutely shocking!! Had been once before and loved it but never ever again. Was with a group of 16 people and after waiting 1 and a half hours after our entres we asked if we were getting our mains… They had forgotten our order. After another 1/2 an hour we finally got our food but 3 of us sent it back as is was revolting! When I eventually got my second main it was still inedible. We really had to fight with the owner for a discount due to the awful service we recieved, and after only eating some bread and poppadums it still cost $70. Would never recommend this place to others. Even the raved about dahi puri was foul and went uneaten by all who ordered it!

You know!! Dahi puri and panak paneer. Mandatory!

The BEST Indian I have ever eaten. The Murg Badami is to DIE for and the Dahi Puri is absolutley delicious. I take my family there all the time and get constant take-aways from it! My husband always gets friendly exlaims of ‘Mr Karim!’ when he walks in to pick up the take-aways.
Loved the food! I definitely recommend the Dahi Puri

Satya is absolutely appalling when it comes to service levels, staff attitudes & care factor. Satya is just a shocker and we couldn’t recommend to anyone to go there based on this no matter what the food tastes like.

My favourite indian place! If you go here you HAVE to try the dahi puri as an entree. What an explosion of flavours!
Friendly staff, great food. I highly recommend.

Not all the stuff on their menu is top drawer. e.g. The paani puri ( gol gappa ) is not the greatest. When I ordered it it was very soggy, and dripping in oil, which means that there was too much flour used. They should be ideally very crisp.
The Gulab Jamun was not very fresh and was microwaved, not properly though.
The idlis are o.k. Can be better. The sambhar though was very good and so was the coconut chutney. The dosas are generally good, once though it was too salty. Uthapams are good as well.
I will not recommend to have curries here, I believe there are a few good North Indian restaurants that do excellent curries, better than what they do here.
The ambiance can be a lot better, wires hanging here and there. The toilets have a long way to go. Probably its their selling point – simple, rustic, very good food, however not sold on me. Above Average.

I have taken our 4 children to this restaurant a few times and every time has been excellent. They get so excited if we say we are going there.
Sataya is different (and better) than a regular curry house as they have much more tasty food that tastes fresh. They don’t have the curry gravies & nan bread that most curry houses have.
The other Sataya is great too, on K Road, but we usually go to the Great North Rd one. Never been disappointed with a single item ordered let alone a whole meal. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for everyone – people who are new to curry, families with all aged kids, and curry lovers like me.

Nice to find an Indian restaurant that doesn’t just do curries and the traditional samosa. If you come, try the dosa’s. Personally the meat curries I don’t find the best in terms of Indian although I haven’t had all and there is a vast range on the menu.
Like the ambience and laid-back nature of the staff. The decor is well done out and feels like you’re stepping into a real authentic Indian restaurant!
All in all a great place for a vast range of Indian meals and at a good price.

My favourite Indian restaurant – different, fresh and oh so tasty menu. The infamous entree with potato, yoghurt and tamarind (can’t remember the name) is to die for and a must have. Wonderful atmosphere, always busy. Love it.
