Scotts is my go-to place for superb long blacks in Hamilton. Am a big fan of their eclectic & tasty menu – the mutton curry is delish, and I really enjoyed the pork quesadilla & pitti panna (although not at the same time:) Great service in a lovely space. We’ll be back!

My husband and I heard about scotts epicurean that it won a award so we thought we would go and have breakfast there,we looked at the menu wasn’t that exciting but I did ordered the green eggs and ham,I explained to the waitress that my husband had a stomach operation (Gastric bypass)so he can’t have any sugar, fatty,or creamy foods, thought there would be cream in the scrambled eggs,so I asked if they could do two poached eggs and she said NO SORRY we can’t,how HARD is it to do poached eggs after I had explained the reason why.We were amazed how poor this was and we will NEVER go back and will let our friends and family no.They are NOT the best cafe in Hamilton.

After hearing so much good stuff about it, I went and was totally let down.
The cappuccino was just average, though I heard the mochaccino was good.
I was a little upset at the menu – small and very weird. I had no idea what to order and the waitress suggested a bacon, potato and beetroot thing – ugh. It was really just bacon, cubes of potato and beetroot separately, nothing special and at a price of approx. $17.
I heard the Aglio was good though, but my girls thought it got too sickening at the end while my father felt it wasn’t enough. Good price at 9.50!
My other friend got a pork -pancake type thing, said it tasted horrible. The open sandwich was good but pricey! At $18!
Then came the cakes. The brownie was a bit of a let down, but I enjoyed the lemon berry cheesecake. However, the portions were tiny for the price of $5.50!
The service however, was speedy and the waitress was friendly! Too bad the food wasn’t as good as I expected

WOW!!!! Passed through Hamilton on a Sunday morning and thought to have a quick stop. This place is very inviting – the name is so interesting ‘SCOTTS EPICUREAN’… Hmmm, I wondered..
Came in and the staff was superb to me, my husband and our little girl. I ordered a deliciously looking ham sandwich off the cabinet and an amazing looking prune/pecan muffin – I made the right choice – both of these things were Divine and presented as they were made especially for us!!! The coffee was sensational (I wished it to be great and it was more than I wished for). Have I mentioned the great service?!?! I’ll come back to Hamilton again and again (from Auckland) just so I could munch at this fantastic eatery!!! Thank you so much for being so great, it’s a wonderful feeling to spend money on a product that is so good.
Amazing coffee every time! Service is so friendly and efficient. Always something new and interesting to try off the three different menus and if you’re just in the mood for something sweet, the tiramisu and oaty chocolate slice thing from the cabinet is delicious! Iced mochas…mmmm

One of the most reliably good spots in Hamilton, food is fab as is the coffee! Have yet to be disappointed at a cafe I have visited regularly for years!

great staff and awesome atmosphere, the food is not very filling though, the green spagatti is probably the only thing that fills you up, but the coffee there is simply the BEST
Easily the best coffee in Hamilton and brunch on the weekends is perfect. Could be picked up and put anywhere in Wellington or Auckland and would be very successful. Must try on the menu is the Aglio (noodles with garlic, chilli and parsley) sounds a little strange but is fantastic.
