Fabulous place – the food is excellent and the service is superb! I eat here every week if I can, it’s the best cafe around this area. Has both good indoor and outdoor seating. I can’t recommend Seven highly enough!

Easy to book online. Someone contacted me early on a weekend day so that was excellent. Great service and delicious food.

We went to this cafe after reading all the good reviews on MenuMania. After having eaten there, we thought it was strictly average. Service was ok but nothing you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Food was a little slow coming out – we all ordered off the lighter fare menu but it took about 35-40min for orders to come out. Salads were quite bland and while they came with a nice serving of bread, there was literally about a tablespoon of hummus to go with it. The bitterballen was again ok, but nothing special.

I was so glad to be able to book online, especially as it was a public holiday and was rung to have my booking confirmed. When we arrived we had an unexpected extra guest turn up and the staff quickly found us a larger table without any fuss or bother. The food was excellent and the service tops and the coffee couldn’t be better. It’s definitely a place I will frequent and take my friends to. A big thank you to all the staff at Seven Cafe and all the best for the future.

Visiting more than once as I do before offering a review, this busy place adjacent a garden centre is decent. I might call it a bistro more than a cafe. And yet as much as the food may qualify, the tarrif for the quality offered does not meet my definition of this worthy term. Nonetheless, it offers decent plus food not exactly executed as desired at decent plus prices with decent service. Nothing to write home about, exactly, but a welcome addition to the ‘hood and there are many much worse out there charging the same or even more.

I went to Seven about a month ago with 12 of my friends for a 16th Birthday Brunch. The food was fabulous and we all really enjoyed out meals, but one main aspect that let the whole cafe down was one of the staff. It felt to all of us that she didn’t want us to be there and that she had no respect for us, almost like we were a nuisance. I feel that if we were maybe a few years older she would have treated us differently. I found this really let out experience at Seven down. Sadly I don’t think I will be coming back.

I loved being able to book online and was very impressed to receive a personal message from Margaret confirming my booking, along with a note saying…”look forward to having you in the cafe.”
When we arrived (on time I might add!!), we were greeted like VIP’s and escorted to our reserved table immediately. The service (from many staff members) and food was top notch.
I cannot wait to return. Thanks Seven Cafe and good luck for the future. You have a winning combination and in our troubled times it is a relief to find businesses who offer something special.

Absolutely special time at Beat Street! While miss beautiful French Yves, so happy to see barrista Sam! I love his great coffee, topped off with delicious froth, darling… What more could a woman want?

Great service and most of the food was excellent, however I had the beetroot and orange salad but when I got my dish there was no orange flavour or orange pieces in it at all also lacked seasoning making it a bland taste and disappointing. Perhaps that is something that could be improved on for next time. Thank you for the opportunity to comment

Great location close to many other places in christchurch. The garden scenery makes it a nice place to relax while enjoying a bite to eat from a wide selection of foods. Truly recommended.

The Urban Platter at Seven is irresistible. It has the combination of fresh flavours and textures that mix together to provide a memorable lunch. Highly recommend.

A great little cafe in a handy spot. Quick, friendly service, tasty lunch dishes, good prices, plenty of parking, close to shops, the university etc.
