Their buffet which we went for is a joke. Only 2 choices. no salads, papad, sweet dish. Naan bread served at the table and we had to wait for a long time for it. Every time we had to ask the waiter for it who had no training at all. The waiters need more training in customer service. grumpy and rude. They do not cook in the restaurant. They got Naan bread from their other outlet in a plastic bag and just heat it to serve. & was undercooked. We have been to quite a few Indian restaurants all over NZ and this is by far the worst.

Went there with a group of friends and have to say, worst service ever. Just because we were students, they treated us like crap. Didn’t offer water, had to wait for a long time to be served and then they tried to clear our plates before we were even finished and we were not being loud at all. If you open a restaurant in central Dunedin, the heart of studentville and treat students like that, your gonna loose money. Would never go back there again and will make sure to tell my friends all about our horrible experience. The food was average, same as all the other indian restaurants but they treat their customers better!!

Never ever going back to this place! The quality of the food is pretty s**t! We ordered the masala dosa which come with potato and onion stuffing. The stuffing was cold and they may just “heated it” before serving. The potatoes tasted funny and seemed stale :/ We barely ate our food. I had mango kulfi afterwards which was actually quite good. however, my friend ordered the gajjar halwa served with ice cream. They served it with cookies n cream ice cream..really?! cookies and cream with Indian desert at a “classy” restaurant?! And the halwa wasn’t that nice either!

I went a couple of weeks before and ordered the chicken dahiwala..they chicken tasted really funny and old! Didn’t really eat that either!

Service is good..waiters are nice but I think they need to learn the menus cos they confuse dishes and forget!

Overall 2/5..Wouldn’t recommend the restaurant at all!

Have tried a few dishes from here now and can honestly say they have the best chicken biryani in Dunedin, the dosas are amazing, and the chicken bhuna is off the hook! Definitely my new regular Indian place. Not only that but its has a great ambience + the service is also amazing. 5 stars no less.
