Had lunch at Shed 2 on the Sunday after the Mission Concert – was very busy but still received very good service. I had the fish and chips which was very good and my husband had the steak sandwich – both meals were very good sizes! We sat outside and although the weather wasn’t the best the view was still lovely. Recommend to all visiting Napier!
We were here on Friday evening last weekend, and were excited to dine while watching tennis on the big screen. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We left with empty stomachs rather than put up with that.

We came to Shed 2 for dinner on Easter Weekend, while visiting family in Napier. Very family friendly and relaxed atmosphere with great food. We shared some woodfired pizzas which were super yummy! Will be back again next time we’re in Napier.
I visited Shed 2 the weekend of the Mission concert. There were 8 people at our table. 4 were served their mains, and the other 4 waited 40 minutes to get their mains. We went to dinner to eat together, not half the table at a time. And we are still waiting to get the chicken wings!!! We were told that the reason why we were served four people at a time, was because it was so busy because of Mission concert. Yes it was busy, however other tables around us, with eight or more people got their meals served together. The service was poor, and management did a poor job of rectifying the bad experience. Will never go their again.
Dine here frequently, have found the service and food to be consistently good which is a plus for this industry. Will return.

Shed 2 is amazing would recommend to anyone that happens to be in the area. has awesome food great atmosphere and good dance music later in the evening.
Shed 2 has one rockin’ fireplace – really makes the place on a chilly day in hawke’s bay, complemented by great staff and a menu that goes for miles. Keep it up Shed 2!

I have eaten here three times in the past 6 months and on every occasion have found the waitresses to be pleasant and knowledgeable. On all three times that I have dined here the food has been first rate and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended

We went there a few weeks ago. It wasnt busy but the service was terrible. We asked the waitress what the fish was and she had to go away and ask. In the meantime another waitress tried to serve us – and she also didnt know. We had to ask 3 times for the umbrella to be put up (as we were outside). When the food came it was only “ok”. The wine we asked for was the wrong year that was advertised (a small thing you might think but it does matter)and come 2pm the entire wait staff disappear!! (Whether you are finished your meal or not). Wont be going again.

dined there on Easter Sunday as part of a group of 17.
none of us enjoyed our meals , mine was quite bland & uninteresting, wait staff managed to get mixed up with which order was for who.
Won’t be going back

We partly decided upon Shed 2 on the basis of a menu in our hotel room.
It was very busy, which was to be expected because it was Mission Estate Concert weekend (yep, the one that was eventually cancelled).
It has a sports bar feel to it on one side. A great deck which would be ideal for summer dining overlooking the port and its quite a good looking restaurant.
Upon arriving we discovered a special menu for Mission Estate Concert weekend – as if seeing the concert wasn’t enough to make you feel special. In fact, its so special they charge you extra for a few of the same regular items on a more limited, but special, menu. On top of that we arrived to be told that no orders were to be taken until after 9pm because of how busy it was (over 1 hour wait).
Fair enough, it was busy, but this is the 17th concert in Napier and surely they would be better equipped to deal with the rush – not to mention having a year to prepare. Nevertheless we waited, assisted by the Hurricanes vs Crusaders game on the big screen (my wife being a Cantabrian and myself a Wellingtonian it was fitting).
When we eventually did get to order and have our food, the food was great. But was left with the sour taste of having to wait and then realising we were being charged extra to wait a lot longer.
Big events that attract people to your area, should never be an excuse to take advantage of them. There are a lot of other places next to Shed 2 and I would recommend you try one of the others if you do happen to be in Napier during a big event.
