It’s well known that a well done chip is the cornerstone and defines the quality of a takeaway shop. This place, the Skillet and Fillet, fails in all departments with regards to quality of cooking and product.

All items – chips, fish and spring roll were soggy to the point of inedible and repulsive. My 4 year old, hungry niece who usually sucks anything up like a vacuum turned her nose up at it, commenting that the tomato sauce was the best thing about the meal. I’m writing this review as I am eating I am that driven to do so.

After the crisp chips the rest is down hill. It is a simple dish and the batter needs to be cooked.
