My husband and I went here for brunch a couple of times. The meals have always been very nice but unfortunately the person making the coffee needs to take a course. The coffee is terrible and staff although friendly seem to be a bit low at times.
Having said that we would dine there again, although I would not have coffee.

Had a meal with a friend a couple of weeks ago and I was really impressed so I took my mother there again yesterday. We had a fabulous meal in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The taste was great, the size of the meals were bigger than we expected and the staff really were attentive to our requirements. I would not hesitate to recommend the Skipping Bull to anyone wanting a great night out.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Skipping Bull Bar and Bistro for making my daughters baby shower so memorable. The staff allowed me to re-arrange the furniture to suit and really made us feel at home. The food was amazing and so was the price. I would definitely book this venue again and would highly recommend it to anyone. Clean, tidy and friendly staff. Thank you once again for making my job so much easier. Best mother in the world…again
I have just read the previous reviews on The Skipping Bull Bar and Bistro and think you should all go back and give it one more chance. I have recently dined in the restaurant and found that the 3 choices of meals we selected to be of price Value. I ordered the Scotch Fillit steak that was cooked to perfection (medium rare). The staff were friendly and attentive. My family were happy with the end result. Everyone should leave just enough room in thier tummy for the Lemon Meringue Smash.

Steakhouse that could not cook steak… is how i would sum up this place. Well done meant medium rare, 1 was even raw just burnt on the outside… 2 meals taken back then returned to find all they did was slice the steak in half then quickly fry again… yuk! would not recommend… Put out children’s menu, couldn’t order of it if you were over 12. Not specified anywhere.. Very disappointed . No rating from me or my family…..

The meal was advertised asa set menu: “Roast of the Day” and it consisted of slices of ham covered with instant gravy, a chunk of boiled cauliflower,a slice of cooked tomato and one hash brown. It was garnished with a large sprig of rosemary. The dessert was a choice of icecream sundae..3 scoops of ice cream with either chocolate sauce or caramel sauce or a slice of Cowells pavlova with cream and a strawberry.
To add insult to injury, our group had to pay for three memebers who didn`t turn up…The restaurant wasn`t crowded. There were only two other people there all evening.
To sum it all up.. the food was amateurish, clumsily presented, and misrepresented as “Roast of the day”. and poor value for the $25 which we each paid,
