Great location, food and service. We had 4 meals at The at the Slip Inn during our stay in Havelock, and could find no fault. Very friendly staff, who you could tell really wanted to be there. Highly recommended!

We have lunched with friends at the Slip Inn several times recently. The service and the food are consistently excellent, particularly the curry of the day. Surroundings are congenial and entertainment from the adjacent boat ramp is of a high standard. One can confidently take overseas visitors to the Slip Inn without fear of embarrassment. Well done!

I have now experienced the old and new versions of the Slip Inn. Both times the food and service have been very good but the revamped surroundings are excellent – especially when sitting outside in very warm temperatures.
I had mussels with spaghetti and a tomato and capers sauce. The mussels are all a nice even size and were steamed to perfection and the sauce was not over-powering. The other mains at the table were grilled garlic mussels (very tasty) and salmon and cream cheese pizza which was also very nice.
The kids only had wedges but at $8.50 there were not a lot although they looked nicely done.
The wine and beer list is quite reasonable and overall the experience was very good. I felt it was reasonably priced for the mussel dishes and mid-range for the other mains offered.
Would recommend to anyone passing through Havelock.
