Soho has to be one of the best places to eat in Tauranga.
The food is amazing, The setting is olde world french, The waitstaff have class and poise.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is wanting an exceptional dining experience.

I’d been wanting to go to Soho for a long time. Eventually I went on Saturday night.
The waitresses were pleasant and doing their job but as far as the food goes I was most disappointed with taste and presentation.
The food was underseasoned if seasoned at all. On the plate the food looked like a school dinner. No thought had gone into the presentation. The menu said ‘french peas’ which I very much doubt that they were. If the chef reads this review tell him to look in Larouse Gastronomique, p. 766 for the recipe.
Won’t be back.

We had a group of 5 dine at Soho for the first time on Saturday night. Our waitress was outstanding, the food fresh and plentiful without leaving you feeling like you had over-eaten. We all ordered a different drink each (a few times) and a different meal each and everything was delivered perfectly – she even remembered who ordered what drink. All in all we had a fabulous evening and next time we are in Tauranga it will be our first stop. Fantastic service, fantastic fresh food and a fantastic atmosphere. Ooh one last thing … dining in Soho you cannot hear the loud hens parties etc going on at the bar next door – was a real surprise.
Amazing service, even more amazing food. Lovely quiet, intimate, romantic setting. By far the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Tauranga.

We attended a group dinner with approx 50 people and found everything ran really smoothly and a hearty meal even for the guys. A good selection for each course with something for everyone. Pleasant surrounds and great service,
We attended a work Christmas function and the menu was set at $45.00per person. Being accustomed to French cuisine I ordered the duck salad as an entre, the salmon with muscles, vermouth sauce, coleslaw and roasted potatoes as a main. For desert I ordered cream brulee with lemon sorbet.
The entre I was served was shredded duck on shredded mesculin lettuce. Yes that’s it! My main was reasonable, the salmon was nice, minus any sauce and muscles, the coleslaw was thickly cut cabbage with mint sauce out of a bottle poured on it, and the potatoes were cold and overcooked. As for the desert, the cream brulee was satisfactory, however there was no lemon sorbet, just coconut ice cream. We were not informed that our meals were different to what was on the menu provided. The overall food experience was poor!
As for the service, the staff were great! Patient and polite!
