I first phoned the restaurant to ask about access as I had to use crutches and needed a chair with arms. The staff member was exremely helpful informing me that they didn’t but could get me a comfortable chair with arms and would place us on the upper level with the accessible facilities. (there is not alot of restaurants in Kapiti that have chairs with arms !.) when we arrived they had everything set out and the food and service was excellent would defiantly recommend this restaurant

I adore the food here, the portions are very large and the food is divine.
My biggest problem is trying to decide between the many dishes.

I had the olives for an entree and they were the best I have ever tasted.

They are very busy so I would recommend booking in advance and the restaurant is quite small.

Anne-Marie is lovely and always makes you feel special and welcome here.

I am looking forward to going back again

I went to Sopranos earlier this year, they have new chefs. The portions were huge and the chef went the extra mile to accomodate my dietary needs, and even delivered my meal to the table himself. Very nice… will definitely go there again.

My friends and I had heard from a local hotelier this was a great place to eat. So was looking forward to an authentic Italian experience. The service was very good, the decor very average, the food very poor. The smoked salmon penne was acidic, The gnocci flavourless mush and the steak average but drowning in a thin sauce. Not the high standard I was told to expect at all.

We had a farewell dinner for an overseas guest and were given the private area off the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend it. We will definitely go back.
