Dinner for two on Friday night. We were 20 minutes late so nice of them to hold our booking for us when the place was packed and they could have easily given our table away.
Garlic bread – bread nice but absolutely no hint of garlic to be found.
Steak and ribs for mains. Both lots of meat delicious but fries so oversalted that we downed a bottle of water while eating them.
New York baked cheesecake nice but bland – all it would have needed was either some lemon juice or a decent coulis to give it a lift. Intead it was accompanied by a sickly sweet strawberry syrup that was definitely straight out of a plastic bottle.
Service was efficient and friendly but wait time for food was quite long.

Went there last night. Food was great, service was impeccable. I had the pork belly, which was lovely and chocolate mousse for desert. My friend had fish of the day and an apple crumble. Had a really good time. Great atmosphere totally recommend it. Will go back

Ate there before Xmas, meals were nice and staff are friendly and helpful. As it is a pub, it did get a bit loud latter on.

Very good food and service. Unfortunately not up to Petone’s standard but still pretty good.
Been here a few times over the recent years. Traditional pub food – the only thing I’d say is that it can all feel a little pre-prepared …. but thats pub food. Relaxing place on a sunny afternoon having a beer.
Delicious pub-fare with generous portions. The menu is extensive and varied with great beer-matching for meals. Great service, too.

Difficult location for parking and transport. But a short walk up from the CBD
