Great food, large variety, prices reasonable, great hospitality, fantastic atmosphere at night. A must visit. Great when there’s a game on at night, esp the ABs.

My only complaint, they’re not open Sundays damn. Mind you what is.

Split is a great place to have dinner and/or drinks. The bar is split in two – a restaurant out the front, and then a bar / garden bar area out the back. If you want to dine on a Thurs, Fri, Sat you should book as it can get quite busy and there are a limited number of tables. The menu is varied and delicious, and the lunch menu is really great value for money. The staff are always very attentive.

We own a B&B in Whangarei and after receiving a glowing report on Split we tried for ourselves. Very impressed, friendly service, great food. Since then some of our other guests have eaten at Split and were also very impresed.
