The garlic bread was one of the better ones we’ve had…. Anchor and a few others could learn something from these folk..
One had the whitebait omelette which was actually more like an enormous fritter, but delicious, generous and served on a pile of thick cut, crunchy non-greasy chips and a nice wee side salad.
My fish of the day pan-fried with garlic cream sauce was beautifully cooked, it came with gourmet potatoes and wilted spinach which is where my only criticism is… the gourmet potatoes were nice but there were enough for two people and I couldn’t even eat 1/2 however the wilted spinach was also nice but only one tiny small mouthfull about 6 x that amount would have been great….. I had to steal salad from the other two people…
So great in general … but if you want something other than meat and potatoes order them separately.
