My wife and I have just returned from a dinner date at the Stables.
We struck a very abrupt and quite rude waitress who clearly has better things to do than to be at work, after pointing us in the general direction of our seat she then vanished and barely spoke two words all evening.
The food was not great, I had an extremely tough “sirloin” with onion rings on the side, some of the onion rings still had flour inside them which was really unpleasant. I pointed this out to another staff member who showed this to the cook but no offer of any discount was made.
We are new to Cambridge and have been trying out restaurants and are also investigating places in advance for our various work functions.
We were very disappointed with our experience and will not be back again.

We had a very nice lunch here but the young blonde waiting on us was very rude and her attitude sucked! If we want to order our meals seperately we will do so, much to this rude girl’s dislike.

Good to finally have a casual cruisy bar to hang out in Cambridge. Good quality food and reasonable prices. I have eaten here on several occasions and found the food to be good tucker.

I went there on Mothers day for dinner.

1. Free glass of wine was not given as advertised or even offered.

2. The service was abrupt and blunt-some real training needs to go on here. I think the young girls were more interested in them selves than serving the customers and making them feel welcome.

3.The food was good but took an hour from the time we placed our order to delivery.

4.When asked if we could take our order instead of say “we won’t be a moment , i was told were really busy quite abruptly. This i thought was very rude considering we were the customers.

5. When we came to pay the blond bar girl up stair was more interested in talking to her friends than serving us.

Its a shame that management doesn’t realise the value of repeat business and training your staff as the surroundings were quite pleasant but the attitude of the staff let them down greatly
