Enjoy tempting homemade treats complimented with fresh coffee, or you can order a light café lunch from the menu . The café is fully licensed so you can purchase a beer or wine or choose from a selection of cold non alcoholic beverages. There’s something for the whole family.

The Café can be found at the entrance to Staglands Wildlife Reserve and is a traditional log building constructed with local Douglas Fir. The café’s cozy interior features include impressive wooden trusses, beams and posts with a large open fire that roars away in winter.

Outside there are large decked seating areas set under shady trees with fantastic views of the pond, the meandering birdlife, with only the peaceful hum of nature to disturb you.

You are welcome to use the Cafe without looking through the park. Staglands offers a unique experience for people of all ages to feed and freely interact with unusual birds and animals in an environment that has been created with nature’s materials. Located in the beautiful Akatarawa Valley, Staglands is a ‘must see’ attraction.
