This is a brillant little restaurant.
Very friendly caring staff and an excellent menu choice.
I am a fussy eater and often am struggling to pick 1 thing on the menu I would like, here however I was struggling to limit it to only 1 item, the food is cooked to perfection, and well presented.
This place is a real gem and highly recommended, I will certainly go back again when down there next visit..

Lisa has a hearty menu that is great value for money. The Star and Garter celebrates it’s Victorian Heritage and wholly embraces the Steampunk ethos.
The service is friendly and prompt. Groups are welcome and Lisa will do a great value set menu to suit the occasion. They have a delightful court yard at the back and a private room for smaller groups.
The awesome thing is that they are open all day and into the evening 7 days a week so you can eat out in style every day. Many eating establishments are closed on Mondays.

My only advice is to be hungry when you arrive, as the portions can be very generous. Wonderful to actually taste the food since it wasn’t over seasoned. Thank you for a happy dining experience.
