Went there for a pre-movie dinner. The place was dead, with only a couple more people arriving before we left (despite Satay Noodle House next door being packed).
The waiting staff were pretty poor, grabbing our menus off us before we had a chance to order drinks. It was a pity really because the food was actually quite nice. The other thing that let the place down was the poor atmosphere – the fact it was in the middle of a noisy mall meant it couldn’t achieve the kind of environment they wanted.
Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but there are a lot of restaurants in the same part of town, where you can get much better food (and much much better service), for the same price.

We dined there last night as it was seemingly quick and convenient.
Garlic bread to start, a 50/50 meatlovers and camembert chicken thing.
Its a somewhat dark, but clean looking restaurant. The times I have walked past its never seemed particularly busy, which from that perspective is appealing – and on the inside, you would never know you were in the middle of a big movie complex.
Nothing amazing about the food. The pizza was okay, but wasnt great. Hard to rave on about it because it was all so average. They got an extra star if only because the waiter was very efficient in ensuring our water was topped up when empty – something a lot of restaurants could learn to do!

I have been to Stellar many many times over the past few years and have enjoyed all of my meals. Great atmosphere and if your dinner plans clash with an All Blacks test, no worries! They play it there! Awesome pizzas…have a pizza. I also recommend their penne pasta as well as their steak. If their soup of the day happens to be pumpkin and bacon, definitely go for it! YUM.

Service poor.
Staff not writing down the orders properly. Seriously undercooked meat to the point that it makes you worry if it is safe to eat. After sending it back it came back 2 min. later still very undercooked meat. On paying for the meal we did not eat our response to the questioning if we enjoyed it was a NO. The hostess replied maybe next time the food will be better, do come back. Is this food lottery? no I will never go back. They care very little that we were not happy with the food. I have had better meals at McDonalds on a bad day
