This Italian Cafe is not at all what it purports to be. Is run by Glen and his wife, Noi (she is either Thai or Vietnamese). We dined on New Year’s eve. Waited for 35 minutes for 1 mussels entree to arrive. When it arrived, we bit into it and the mussels were as cold as having just come out of the fridge. It wasn’t fresh at all and was pre-prepared. We asked for it to be replaced. As for the 2 main courses we had (spaghetti with garlic prawns and mushroom fettucini), the spaghetti had no taste at all. Either chef forgot to put salt in the boiling water or the dish was totally bland. The spaghetti, if not overcooked was dry and crunchy which to me looked like not everything was submerged in water hence those sticking out or stuck to the pan were dried by the heat. And the cheese that was suppose to be on top of the spaghetti was rock hard, appearing like a snow capped mountain. In hindsight, I think they tried to recycle unused cheese. The mushroom fettucini was very ordinary. When we started, we planned to have dessert, but after a disastrous entree and main course, decided against it. On leaving, I tried to give Noi, the wife, some feedback, and she got aggressive, did not take my feedback on board, and instead, turned the tables on me by saying I was the only one who had complained about their dishes. She talked over me while I attempted to tell her exactly what was wrong with each dish. When she stopped talking, I asked her if she heard any of the feedback I gave her and if she could repeat it to me, she kept silent and just looked down the whole time she was finalising our bill. I travel quite extensively, having just returned from Europe and the Middle East four months ago, and this restaurant, Stunning Buns, would have to be the worst I have ever dined at throughout the world. Best to re-name the restaurant as “Stunted Bungs”.
