Sushi Ninja is the only Japanese owned and operated Japanese restaurant and sushi bar in New Plymouth.
By day we are casual Japanese cafe and by night we are a sake bar. Come and join us with this very two different type of dining styles.

Fabulous resturant, great staff, lovely atmosphere and very authentic Japanese food. And very good value for money! I have tried their lunches, set dinners and a la carte and love it all.

We were excited about our dinner out to Sushi Ninja yet were greeted with an unwelcoming staff and service. Our meals were nice but for what they were overpriced ..especially compared to other similar restaurants we have dined at.
At the end of our meal we were not asked if we would like a desert or coffees and were rushed to leave as the restaurant closed around us which was a disappointing end to our night which we had planned to enjoy at a leisurely pace.

Finally some authentic asian for New Plymouth. Excellent dinner menu, huge meals including rice and miso and beautifully presented. Good wines and sake selection. Lunch is a good deal, but often sell out of the specials quickly – maybe just a sign of its popularity.

Sushi Ninja has great food and great service. The prices are reasonable. You can do takeaway for lunch and not break the bank, or go out and have a really fine meal for an occasion. Highly Recommended.
We are a family of sushi lovers and were not expecting to find quality Japanese food in a small town like New Plymouth. So we were in awe of the fantastic experience we had at Sushi Ninja–I hope the people of New Plymouth realize how lucky they are to have this place on their door step! Our kids love nigiri sushi, various rolls and sashimi, and they were fighting over the servings. We really enjoyed our visit, and to top it off the prices are incredibly reasonable! We highly recommend this restaurant.
