We recently had a meal at table Seven and just couldn’t fault the meals, service and general atmosphere. We were welcomed and given excellent friendly service throughout our time. The timing between courses was perfect and we found the range of choices on the menu a hard pick!
Well done to the owner and staff. We will definitely recommend to everyone we meet!

I recently had my graduation dinner here, and the experience exceeded my high expectations I held from previous visits. The team are a pleasure to deal with, as they clearly value their patrons, and none of us could find fault with the food, which was outstanding. Would recommend to any for a quiet dinner or special occasion – we will definitely be back. Keep up the good work!

Described by one of my fellow diners as “one of the poorest fine dining experiences ever” We ordered the duo of chicken dish consisting of chicken breast and 4 rolled chicken morsels. The chicken breast was OK but the morsels were extremely strong tasting with a tough leathery skin. The dish also came with couscous wrapped in “spinach” which tasted extremely fishy. Not a pleasant dish at all. Another person ordered the eye fillet which was tough.
Positive things were the bread platter. (This was the best part of the meal) nice staff and great views of the City.

We won’t be coming back here in a hurry though. Luckily the bill was reduced with the use of the entertainment book.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. I would like to clarify a few points in regards to this review. Firstly we are not a fine dining restaurant we serve modern New Zealand cuisine. This was a new menu that had been running for seven days, there still was…    More »

Went there with my gf on our anniversary. Upon entering the restaurant, the ambiance caught our attention; warm, comfortable, relaxing, welcoming. Approximately half of the tables were seated near large windows overlooking George street, a feature not shared by many restaurant. The owners (i assume) was very courteous and friendly. We ordered the deep fried blue cheese wonton as entree, which was delicious. It came with this green infused oil thing that tasted like nothing i’ve had before (in a good way). We ordered the lamb and the venison as our main, both dishes were well presented and delicious. The only downfall is the price but easy overlooked once i start working =)

Awesome, awesome ,awesome! We would never have known this restaurant if it hadn’t been promoted in our accommodation information. This has to be one of the BEST dining experiences in Dunedin in a long time. The ambience, the food, music, service is undeniable the best around – just a shame they wouldn’t give the secret ingredients to one of their sauces! You have to try the Pork Belly entree – or the Lamb Rump or Smoked eye fillet..Keep up the good work, we were certainly impressed!

Have only eaten here twice but can’t say enough about the place. The food is fantastic and the service great. I wanted Pork Belly but the menu had changed and they only had it as an Entree so I asked if they could make it into a main. The waiter didn’t bat an eyelid and said “of course we can but it will be a little dearer than the entree price”. Obviously I expected this and was delighted with my Main of Pork Belly. I would have no hesitation in returning and often recommend this as the place to go. Interestly enough I was speaking to a friend of mine last week who is a Chef in a busy city restaurant and he told me this was his favourite place to eat. I guess that says it all.

Nice view and nice restaurant. Feels very upmarket. Waiter was chatty at the right times and very informative. Food was very good. Between the two of us we had the breads/dips (try the olives!) a lamb main, a salmon main, and a dessert each.
On the expensive side, but has good deals (see LTD) and its well worth the price.

Very nice venue, overlooking george street. Food was great, had a lamb wellington with pate (interesting but effective), and my other had a smoked rib eye (also interesting but effective) Service was quick, and waitress was very nice and happy.

Don’t usually write about my eating out experiences, but thought this was worth sharing. Ate at Table Seven as had not seen my wife in some time. Was greeted with a smile and sat at a window table which was a little drafty so we were moved (It was freezing outside). Water and wine arrived promptly. Wife had two starters and I had a starter and main course. Food was outstanding, flavors were right on for each dish. Also cooked spot on. Didn’t have dessert but had a cocktail, coffee and port for dessert. Was reasonably priced for what we got. The wife is now happy!!

Great food, fantastic atmosphere and the best wait staff around. Friendly, knowledgable and a great wine list. Food was well presented and tasted fantastic. Shame we didn’t have room for dessert – next time! Great place to just have a drink too – no pressure to eat.
