don’t bother … terrible experience not sure how they can call them selves a cafe when all they offered when we were there was burgers and fries, staff so unhelpful we left to enjoy drinks somewhere else – shows why it was so empty!

What a strange little place. Went here with some deal vouchers. Went in a group of 5. Waitress brings 2 glasses of water (one with old receipt stuck to bottom). 10 minutes later, she comes back with 2 more glasses (that makes 4, thank you but ….?). Takes our drinks and food order. Forgets 1 drink. We waited about 40 minutes for food, then waitress says, sorry, we served your food to another table. Then we waited for the rest of the food which never came. Then, as we were about to leave, waitress asks for my credit card to put behind the bar ‘just in case’, although she knew we were just using up the credit on our deal vouchers. Feel like sending this bar a copy of ‘Idiot’s guide to running a bar’ – then it might actually have some potential.

When we arrived we were seated and told that half of the menu wasn’t available (the salads) which was annoying but fine as we had been planning to order from the “tiger! tiger!” section of the menu. Then to make matters worse we sat around waiting for about half an hour before we were approached to take our order! I had been trying to get the person’s attention for about 20 minutes of that time. Absolutely awful service as all he seemed to be doing was standing behind the bar occasionally making drinks for the 3 people sitting there.

Finally we ordered and the food took quite a while to arrive as well seeing as they were burgers and chips. The curly chips were cold by the time it got to our table and it was obviously the very last scraps at the bottom of the bag if you know what I mean.
Totally unappetizing. The burger itself was okay but in no way made up for the lack of service and overall quality of food and experience.

We will definitely never be returning.

We went to Tangerine to have a drink before going to a show. We waited 20 minutes for our four drinks which was simply unacceptable.
When the staff was asked what the hold up was, they were vague and unhelpful. Eventually we just decided to leave so we didn’t miss our show and after a stern discussion with one of the staff we were given some of our money back.
Considering that there were a very small number of people there and it was a weekday evening, there really wasn’t any good excuse.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on the appalling service we received.

Great place to wind down with the girls after work. The bar has a really fun, relaxed vibe. I’ve finally found a place on Cuba st that plays my music, loving the tribal house they play on fridays and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

Glad we went.
We really enjoyed the combination of high quality food and service. The atmosphere was up-beat, the surrounds clean and well presented, thanks David for a great evening.
We will definatly be back.
