A peek through the window of this Cafe does not reveal the outstanding dining experience available.Ordered and was delighted with Fish tartare for lunch. My companions also raved about their meals and desserts and have pledged to return on next visit to Hawkes Bay…..Presentation,Service and above all TASTE so good I have booked for dinner.

Have eaten a number of times at Taste. Mainly brunch and once for dinner. Always enjoy brunch at Taste, the Ambrosia oats are just lovely and a nice change from all the eggs bennie’s and fry ups you get at other cafe’s. Service is always good, esp if Amber is front of house. Food is fresh and utilises local produce where they can.

The only cafe that I have found where the service is as good as the food for little people with dietary requirements! Relaxed environment where the little touches make all the difference for a perfect casual dining experience. You can choose from a great cabinet selection or go for a mid priced range blackboard selection is you want something a little more. Takeaways make for a great exit if you need to with children.Reflaxed sofa area also :) I give it 5 stars because I can go there time after time and the food and service is always excellent.

the old school eggs benny is really nice. hubby has had the full brekky – nice touch on the refried beans. coffee is ok – nice knowing the food is organic the cakes look amazing and hubby has a weakness for both the lentil and the meat sausie rolls – the chili bean mince and cheese pie with flaky homemade pastry is good. I would go more often if the menu was more extensive.

Fantastic service, excellent coffee, well presented food & nice prices for the pocket. Lots of children & tables close together make for a hectic dining experience, but that’s all part of the charm.
