Thai Village Restaurant, established in 1996, is the oldest Thai restaurant in Remuera area. Our chefs are highly qualified and imported from outstanding hotels in Thailand. More than fourteen years that the owners of Thai Village (Mook and Savang) have been working hard to ensure delicious Thai cuisine is served in a pleasant atmosphere, and with a famous Thai smile.
Thai Village Restaurant is located within the ‘Village Green’ area, tucked in behind the Westpac Bank of Remuera main road Shopping area. If you are driving from Newmarket, turn right at Clonbern Rd, then turn left immediately (down the Service Lane in front of New World Supermarket Carpark).
Or if you are on foot on the main street, walk down one of the two walkways off Remuera Rd (one is on opposite side of the road from the Glengarry bottle store; the other has a trellis archway saying “Village Green”).

This restaurant is one of the best in Auckland. The environment is very nice. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is fantastic. The staff are professional and very polite and friendly. I really enjoyed my dinner at Thai Village.

My wife and I decided to dine there last Saturday. Our first time after being recommended by friends.
The food was by far the best Thai food we have tasted in NZ.
As for the service. We have never been made to feel so much at home as we were. The waitress with the brown hair, was so professional. She helped in recommending what courses we could have that would suit our preferences. The food arrived in a timely fashion between entrees, mains & desserts.
Will we go again. Absolutely, and very very soon.

The Thai Village was a great experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was excellent and good value for money. My wife was apprehensive about eating Thai but thoroughly enjoyed her time and after sampling the food said that it was delicious! Great place to enjoy as a couple or as a family!

The Thai village most definately serves the best Thai I have ever tasted. The people are so friendly and nice. The food is delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic. Love the Thai decor too. It is at the top of my list for birthday and dinner party’s! Great, authentic Thai, LOVE IT!

Probably a favourite for Thai restaurants in Auckland, been here several times for dinner. Food is just delicious, the flaming chicken and waterfall beef and the entrees are good too. However on one occasion it took about an hour and a half for the food to come – was a really busy night so watch out for that, otherwise definitely recommend if you like Thai food. Service is alright, and love the decour and nice location.

Food came out within 5 mins and tasted amazing! Decor is very cool – authentic Thai style. Standard Thai restaurant pricing. Recommend to all. Hint – there is a car park on Clonbern Rd right outside the restaurant.

I had a dinner party with my friends at the Thai Village last week. We ordered Banquet 1 because we were suggested that we would be able eat at the same time. When compared to the portion per person, the food was not expensive. It was delicious and the atmosphere was great! The flaming chicken was fantastic. The staff were very tentative and all of us really enjoyed the food. I will go back there with my friends again.

This restaurant was lovely. Service fab and prompt, even when I asked to change tables it was no problem. Food delicious. And the sizzling chicken fell off the bone. Would definitely return again. I hadn’t been for some years, and it was nice to return and be as good as I remember it. Four stars!

We travel all over NZ and have just about tried every Thai restaurant, nothing bets the food freshness and quality of the food from the Thai Village Restaurant in Remuera.
Their service is first class, nothings a problem just a fantastic place to dine.

Excellent food, environment, and services. I and my family came to this restaurant and we were so happy. Their desserts were also yummy. The owner and the staff looked after us very well although it was a very busy night. We will go back definitely.

Food was great (seriously terrific!) but service wasn’t.
It took three phone calls (the first two I left clear messages but no-one returned my calls) to make a booking. We were there early (6pm on a Sunday) and waited a good half hour unattended before I asked for water for the table. Staff were unable to make recommendations for shared starters. One main arrived a good 10 mins after the other three.
And there was a dodgy looking customer who kept wandering in and out to eat the free chips and nuts, while knocking back copious amounts of alcohol (including shots) at the bar which also functions as the main entrance area. When I asked about the dodgy customer, I was told “he’s here a lot” and “he’s ok”.
Great food but unfortunately not a great experience.

I had forgotten how amazing Thai food is when it’s done this well! “Yellow curry dish of bean curd and sweet potato in coconut milk served with steamed Jasmine rice” was so beautiful.
I had dropped in for an express lunch while I was in Remuera on an errand, and thought I could justify the $13.50 for the curry. But then I got all greedy and spent another $5.50 when I spotted an entree that twisted my arm: The very more-ish dipping sauce of crushed peanuts & cucumber with Deep fried fish cakes was so tasty.
I liked sitting beside the calming water-feature, and enjoyed the lightness of the restaurant, with a view out through the glass wall full of windows, to a lot of greenery.
Definitely will return for dinner. My only critique is that it was a little hard to find.

I went to Thai Village with my boyfriend. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked them about their recommendations. We ordered curry and pad thai noodles. They were very delicious! I love noodles and this was the best pad thai noodles I ever had in Auckland! I recommend anyone who loves pad thai noodles to try this place out.

Been there on numerous times as a big group and as a dinner for 2 and it’s always been great! Great food, friendly service and beautiful atmosphere (love the little hut outside).

Excellent food and ambiance. However, don’t rely on the online reservation system. We made a reservation on the day required but no confirmation email received. Fortunately we were accommodated!

Dinner | 25th March 2011 | Great food, great service and great value for money! This, in addition to the vibrant decor makes this a very pleasant restaurant to dine at.

I and my friends are always on the hunt for Thai food. This is our favorite in Auckland. We normally order their flaming chicken and chicken green curry. We have never been disappointed about the quality of food and services despite the fact that we have been their customers more than two years.

Thai Village is a fantastic Thai restaurant. I and my family have dinner at the Thai Village regularly. The service is spectacular and the food is fresh and large portioned. Anything can be adjusted to your personal requests. I think Chicken Yellow Curry here must be one of the best

Have eaten dinner here twice in the past 4 months with my family. The food is wonderfully fresh and fragrant and the service is very attentive. Even on a busy Friday night when we didn’t have a reservation they found space for us. A little more expensive than the average Thai restaurant, but would definitely return.
