A small, friendly tea house in Riverton with a lovely elevated view out to Taramea Bay. Owner Nola has the best Blue Cod and chips – as good as any fish we have eaten anywhere in the world and better than most. Her seafood chowder is delicious, not too heavy. Best coffee outside Europe, and that’s no exaggeration.
Extremely good value, unpretentious and welcoming as only Kiwi Southlanders are. A safe sandpit and lawns for children to entertain themselves on and a few cute animals to look at makes Thyme Out a relaxing, quiet place to have lunch or tea and cake with the family.
