5 stars, without a moment’s hesitation. They EVEN asked if we would like another coffee when they delivered the food! Imagine a cafe that actually does that!?

The Toulouse sausages are amongst the best sausages we’ve found in the Wellington CBD. The Poached eggs on toast were perfect and the mushrooms sauteed with garlic and shallots were a highlight.

The coffee is great, the service is friendly and engaging without being annoying. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is top notch.

The food is fantastic and adventurous, interesting and full of flavour. The staff are a perfect mix of friendly and professional, but it is the coffee that will keep me coming back. The best I have had in a long time!

Ti Kouka was the venue for our daughter’s 21st celebration. We live in Christchurch so all arrangements were made with the manager by telephone or email, with one visit by our daughter to scope out the facilities.

They were very helpful and allowed us to move tables and chairs to create the space we wanted, including setting up a projector and sound system for some live music.

We ordered finger food and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Ample quantities and great presentation, but the best thing was the taste. All the guests commented on the flavour – my favourites were lamb and ricotta meat balls and dumplings with ginger sauce. The chunky chips were amazing – huge and crispy.

The young people loved the selection of cocktails and the barman took pride in his creations. We finished off with platters of mini-doughnuts with chocolate and strawberry sauce.

It was a great success and we plan to head to Ti Kouka for a full meal next time we are in Wellington. This is a great venue to have a party.

We enjoyed lunch at Ti Kouka last week, and were thoroughly impressed with the food. Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy. I like how it is tucked away from the busy-ness of the city. Would recommend to others.

Me, my partner and my toddler went here during a Monday lunchtime. It was pretty impressive.

We weren’t kept waiting and could choose where we sat. It wasnt very crowded (half full), so you still have a decent conversation and not feel cramped.

The waitress was very polite and knew the specials (about 4 or 5) and what was in them and she even got some plastic toys out for our toddler. He loved them. It was a good distraction.

The lunch was fresh and tasty with a nice combination of flavours. The food was “real”, not canned beetroot or cheap tomato sauce. My partner had the venison and exclaimed that “it isn’t going to last long” because it was perfectly cooked and easily coming apart and practically melting in the mouth.

The staff are excellent, friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

I would love to go back to try their sweet cabinet food. It was mouth-watering just to look at.

If you have a chance, pop up to this cafe, even for a quick drink and a nibble.
