We went there for early valentines dinner. the atmosphere was really nice and they even had live piano. the waitresses were very competent and knew the menu well.

I had fish of the day and my partner had steak. we had garlic bread as entree and a couple of drinks.

The food came very fast and was very nice.

I guess the only downside is the price, it’s pretty expensive for what it is. I can probably get the same meal or more for a cheaper price elsewhere.

but overall, it was a good experience, but definitely only for special occasions cuz who can afford to spend 90 bucks on a dinner for two on a regular basis

We eat here fairly regularly – and have never been disappointed with the food or service. It is on the pricey side, but we don’t eat here every night!

In a nutshell I did not enjoy myself. It was a birthday dinner and as soon as we arrived we were told that we had to pay $10 extra for bringing a birthday cake. Fine. They said let us know whenever you want us to bring it out. OK.

So we sat down and the very friendly waiter took our order – she should get a raise. However when the food arrived I was disappointed. Everything except the vegetarian and snapper dishes (I tried other people’s dishes) was pretty average considering the price you pay. venison was very tough.. Pork belly and Steak lacked taste.

And soon after the meal, while we were still full they brought out the cake without anyone telling them to. I felt like they were trying to rush us so they could free up the seats sooner. I was not impressed at all.

Toilets are a bit inconvenient too – have to climb up all these stairs.

Our family will never go there again and I recommend you don’t either. You can get much better steak at a more reasonable price elsewhere.

We went there for dinner one night. My steak was alright however my partner’s steak was horrible. There was unpleasant smell from the steak and it was inedible as if part of the steak was rotten.

We asked the waitress if there was anything wrong with the steak. The manager came and all she did was to say ” we have been selling the same batch of steak for the whole night and nothing was wrong with it”. I told her the steak had foul smell and it cannot be eaten. She asked ” what do you want me to do about it?”. We left the restaurant with half of the steak eaten and we were fully charged for the meal.

We had the most unpleasant night at Tony’s and also the customer service was bad. We just left and would never want to come back there again!!!

I went to Tony’s lorne street few weeks ago on Wednesday night had dinner here. It was sooooo good. The service was good friendly. And the food was extra good I would die for…We were four people . I had an eye fillet my mates had lamb rack,Snapper and the other had a scotch fillet. My steak was the best I have had. All my mates were so happy with the food as well. Would come back any time when I get a chance.

Disappointing steak matched with horrifying service. Medium-rare becomes medium-welldone and looked more cooked than a ‘welldone’ steak. First, made my friend feel bad when asked for water. We all ordered drink so they took away our water glasses then decided to gave us bottles of water anyway without glasses ??? Eventually brought us unmatched glasses for the table.
My sirloin was tough to eat & my garlic king prawns was tasteless – meal effectively ruined…

I am still so shocked with this restaurant. I just had dinner with my friend – the service was horrible (cold-faced manager taking wrong order, waitress wouldn’t even get me tomatoe sauce lying to me they don’t have any). I couldn’t really trust her, what kind of restaurant doesn’t have tomatoe sauce???
I asked the manager again a few minutes later, she came back with tomatoe sauce…
I asked the waitress why she told me they didn’t have any,she told me she didn’t quite understand me…I asked her THREE times! Even asked whether they have aoli instead…

I made a complaint to the manager after paying $66 for the dinner, she got really offended and nearly yelled at me making several excuses, I told her that the waitress English is perhaps not good enough to take orders and she said “you didn’t even know what venison is”…(Yes, I am a foreign tourist asked ehr what venisonw as) – anyway she didn’t apologize at all, she told me to GET OUT and DON’T COME BACK. The owner was there as well, he yelled at me the same thing in front of all customers, “WE DON’T WANT CUSTOMERS LIKE YOU” I was so shocked didn’t even feel like explaining my story to him again. I just walked out with my jaws open….I feel really hurt and can’t believe there is actually a restaurant like this in the world…….
The atmosphere was very nice, the food was good but a bit expensive for its quality…

Found Tony’s very dark hard to see we were stuck in a corner in a booth the food average expensive for what you got waitress couldn’t really manage a smile. I think they need to update the place it looks like it hasn’t been altered in about 30yrs. I will not go back until they have updated and improved there service and food.

Absolutely disgusted with this restaurant after its abuse of blind couple with a dog who wanted a table ( yes, I was there ) No better than the way blacks were treated in southern USA in the 1950′s .. We will NEVER eat there again.
