I was excited to find two beautiful vegetarian options and so had one for entree and one for main. Such a nice change to be presented with vegetarian options free of eggplant, mushrooms, pasta and rice.
My fiance enjoyed the pork belly and then the venison, which he said might’ve been the best thing he has ever eaten.
The blueberry and lemon curd dessert was amaaaaazing as were the chocolate truffles.
We try to dine at different places but we will be back again for sure, probably to order the exact same things!
What a great place.
Superb cuisine. Outstanding scallops. Creative, different, unexpected and utterly delightful.
We were advised that to make the most of evening we should chose the tasting menu. This advice did not disappoint with the two highlights for me being the salmon dish and the apple desert.
Worth spending that bit extra for a special night out.

Newmarket is lucky to have such a great chef in a local restaurant. It compares favourably with most in Auckland

Tribeca occupies a wonderful old worldly and slightly chic ground floor space in a former hospital with both indoor and outdoor tables depending upon the weather.
Now to the food and service, we started visiting Tribeca a good 18 months ago and returned initially as a result of the fabulous food. At the time of our first visit I had lamb with a spiced marshallow, sounds a little strange but came together beautifully not least due the abilities of the kitchen. Subsequently we have dined there several times and have not yet had a less than wonderful experience.
Good service is one of lifes great luxuries, Tribeca appears to have a small team of well trained people with passion. On our last two visits wine suggestions were not only spot on but did little to break the bank balance, most considerate!
The best compliment is to return again and again, this we have done again and again.
This is the 6th year we have eaten there and the inventive cooking is always a delight. With great wines by the glass and a great choice I look forward to a few more great lunches before we return to the cold.
Just the thought of sitting in the courtyard cheers us up on cold winter days in England
