I took my clients to TriBeCa for an important business lunch. Each and every one of us – all forty-somethings who eat out frequently – agreed that it was the finest food that we have ever encountered… anywhere! If you are looking for THE BEST, you need to visit TriBeCa. A simply breathtaking experience!

We had such a special night out at Tribeca last night to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was so warm and inviting when we arrived. Service from start to finish was fantastic, with a friendly and attentive waiter.
I was excited to find two beautiful vegetarian options and so had one for entree and one for main. Such a nice change to be presented with vegetarian options free of eggplant, mushrooms, pasta and rice.
My fiance enjoyed the pork belly and then the venison, which he said might’ve been the best thing he has ever eaten.
The blueberry and lemon curd dessert was amaaaaazing as were the chocolate truffles.
We try to dine at different places but we will be back again for sure, probably to order the exact same things!
What a great place.

This was a terrific restaurant experience. The food was outstanding – and I’m always a hesitant restaurant-goer, given the ‘average’ experiences I’ve had.

Superb cuisine. Outstanding scallops. Creative, different, unexpected and utterly delightful.

Not sure why we have waited so long to go. TriBeCa is the complete dining experience with a very stylish dining room and bar along with food to match. There is also an extensive wine selection.

We were advised that to make the most of evening we should chose the tasting menu. This advice did not disappoint with the two highlights for me being the salmon dish and the apple desert.

Worth spending that bit extra for a special night out.

Amazing! We chose to dine here as it was my 21st birthday and we wanted to go somewhere nice with the family. We were greeted on arrival with champagne and flowers that my mother had organised. I felt very special as they sat us in the bar while we had our drinks. We were then seated at a nice big table with my flowers at the end of the table. The food was amazing! Didn’t think we would be full after the meal but we were! I would defiantly recommend it for a special occasion! The waitress was amazing; she was very patient with us and was very helpful explaining the dishes to my grandparents. Thank you TriBeCa!

The ambience at Tribeca is very nice. The food is presented beautifully and cooked with passion and care. I have dined here four times now and the only reason I haven’t given it more stars is because the size of the meals are so small. The venison main dish had 3 tiny pieces and I was still very hungry. Not good for blokes who are wanting a satisfying meal after a days work! The meals look like a piece of art but while vision is an important part of a meal, it still needs to fulfil.

After much research to choose a fine dining restaurant for a special occasion we dined here last night. Excellent service, innovative food including the side dishes and an extensive and well stocked and apparently accurate wine list. Disappointed that the Bluff oysters were substituted with Clevedon and the Creme Brûlée dessert was fussy and didn’t match the high standard of the rest of the meal. But this is definitely worth a visit and return and there’s parking too.

I don’t usually eat at Tribeca in the evening but this year in Auckland we tried it and it lived up to its previous high standard.
Newmarket is lucky to have such a great chef in a local restaurant. It compares favourably with most in Auckland

This short review is the result of at least 5 visits to Tribeca, which for many Aucklanders remains an undiscovered gem.

Tribeca occupies a wonderful old worldly and slightly chic ground floor space in a former hospital with both indoor and outdoor tables depending upon the weather.

Now to the food and service, we started visiting Tribeca a good 18 months ago and returned initially as a result of the fabulous food. At the time of our first visit I had lamb with a spiced marshallow, sounds a little strange but came together beautifully not least due the abilities of the kitchen. Subsequently we have dined there several times and have not yet had a less than wonderful experience.

Good service is one of lifes great luxuries, Tribeca appears to have a small team of well trained people with passion. On our last two visits wine suggestions were not only spot on but did little to break the bank balance, most considerate!

The best compliment is to return again and again, this we have done again and again.

Returning to Auckland we as usual had to wait till TriBeCa opened after Christmas. We had lunch on the 14th and till reckon its the best lunch spot in the area.
This is the 6th year we have eaten there and the inventive cooking is always a delight. With great wines by the glass and a great choice I look forward to a few more great lunches before we return to the cold.
Just the thought of sitting in the courtyard cheers us up on cold winter days in England
