I want to give my feedback regarding my dinning erxperience tonight at your restaurant. Im a local and it was my 3rd time to dine there. I was very disappointed at the service we received tonight. When we were sat at our table our waitress (blond lady with black ponytail and a bow hair clip) was not very impressive. At some degree I actually find her racist. He was not as courteous to us as compared to the other (pakeha) couples she served after us. We didnt even get the usual intro of the specials of the day which as I have observed was mentioned to other customers. Then we were served our entree, but my husband’s salad was not served with vinaigrette. When we asked the waitress if it is usually served with out vinaigrette, she ask ‘do you want a vinaigrette?’ my husband then asked again and said he was actually asking her if your salads are usually served WITHOUT vinaigrette she then just repeated the question saying ‘so do you want a vinaigrette?’ ( and it was said with an attitude!). Dont get me wrong, the food was good but tonight the service was very poor! And as I was paying, I then noticed that the waitress actually billed us for the vinaigratte! When I told the waiter who was on the cashier he said he is going to edit that but however made another error of billing it to me still.

Aura My apologies for taking so long to respond to your “Feedback” from Friday night 13 April 2012. When I first read the email I actually thought you had sent it to the wrong Restaurant as the description of the person serving you was similar to a Waitress…    More »

Absolutely rude service provided by this restaurant. The food is tasteless. The bread is just oily with a bit of garlic on it. The whole family will never go back to a restaurant like this. There are lots of better options in Rotorua.

Did not even get inside!
Belligerent waitress put us off! Our group of seven were reading the breakfast menu and had decided that we would give it a try.
The “Are you or aren’t you, have you decided yet?”!!! moved us on to a much nicer cafe .. called ‘Cafe Aroma’ on Fenton Street.

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend in Rotorua and dined at Triple 1 five both Friday and Saturday nights. We loved the stonegrill have the rump special on Friday and the mixed grill on Saturday. My husband has many food allergies and this restaurant caters for him very well. The service was very friendly and the food well presented. It was so great to see this restaurant packed when others in the area were almost empty. Well done Triple 1 five. We’ll be back.

I love 115 and have been there many times – the steak is the freshest and tastiest I have ever had and I have home kill in the freezer to compare, so am unsure what happened to the unhappy customers. They could take a little more care on the veg side and a tad more training for the waiting staff but on the whole a value for money restaurant. Try the creme brulee, it’s spectacular.

We visited this restaurant on our last trip to Rotorua and found it really great, great service and a very good priced meal, we both had stone grills which were lovely (and yes you have to cook it yourself, after all that is what stone grill is) we are visiting Rotorua again this weekend so hoping for an equally impressive night out

i enjoy this place, we go to rotorua from auckland every 6 months for a sports tournament and this is always our choice of spot for dinner in the evenings! the service is great and food is yummy for a unique dining experience. staff are always accomodation for example i got a mixed grill but dont eat pork and they were happy to substitute my pork for extra chicken or beef.
this place is always packed too so I dont really understand the other reviews!

Bad dining experience – this is the worst restaurant I have ever been too. My husband and I decided to try this cafe because it was a stonegrill restaurant, however the food was completely tasteless. For a starter we chose the ‘mixed bread’ which was basically a baguette with garlic butter. For the main, I ordered the seafood grill and my husband ordered the mixed grill. The waiter brought our food out on individual grills which basically meant that we had to cut up and cook the raw meat/seafood on the grills ourselves – stonegrill. The meat was absolutely bland – no marinade, no spices, no herbs, no cooking sauces: NOTHING! The poor quality dipping sauce we each received with our meal added insult to injury. As if this meal couldn’t get any worse, the side seasonal vegetables (kumara, asparagus, potato, carrot) were just as bland and tasteless. They couldn’t even bother to chill the water for our table for goodness sake. This complete disaster cost us $75. The cafe was packed and could only conclude that like us, we were from out of town and thought that a stonegrill meal would be a good choice – how wrong we were!! The waiters were lovely, and my husband enjoyed his coke cola.
