Disappointing meal on Friday 2/12/2011, been there three times all good. but not this time, we took overseas guests there and felt very let down in both service and food, maybe they have changed chefs.

Thought the food was very good (but I wouldn’t say it’s the BEST in town). Service was good/friendly. But I found the atmosphere a bit of a put off. Just a small square room, which kind of made us feel like we had to whisper if we didn’t want the rest of the room to hear our conversation for the entire night. Kind of gave you the feeling like when a rental hall is turned into a tea room for a public event… which is a bit unfortunate, because a nice atmosphere is a big part of dinning out. If this restaurant were to re- locate, I would go back again then, as I certainly enjoyed the food (just not the setting).

Good food, friendly staff exactly what it says it is no pretense just well cooked food in a relaxing atmosphere. We had been here about 3 years ago and vowed not to return but we’d heard so many good things since the new owner arrived that we just had to try it again and we’re glad we did. We will be back regularly.

very good food at tussock, the only thing tht I wasnt happy about was how cramped the actual seating is! The need to make some more room!

Glad i booked in. Heard it was best restaurant in town, was not disappointed. Made to feel very welcome. Great food, beautifully presented, staff friendly and accommodating. Great night had by all. Try it you’ll love it.

The service was great, really friendly. The food was good, I wouldn’t call it the best in Timaru as others have said but it was nice simple food.

I had the salmon served with risotto, overall it was a nice meal, though the risotto was more just some plain-ish rice, rather than a nice risotto.

Absolutely outstanding! The food is AMAZING. Both lunch and dinner menus are of a high standard and varied,and the pricing is very reasonable. Did I mention the food is awesome! Absolutely will not eat anywhere else in Timaru.

If you haven’t been to this Restaurant you had better get down there fast, rated as the best in Timaru the food and presentation is just spot on, the chef is just one of the best and so is his staff

The best restaurant in Timaru.I travel through this town every week and have tried all the restaurants,this place comes up tops good food,service,value for money.You would have to travel far to beat this place
